Off-Campus Access

You must have an activated Library ID Numberto access restricted library resources from off campus. You will be prompted for your ID number when you visit the Database pages. See the Off-Campus Access page for more information.

Library ID Number

You must have a valid Library ID Number to access library resources from off-campus. You have two options for obtaining a library ID number: through the UCF Card office, and through the library.

If you are taking only off-campus classes, you can purchase a UCF photo ID from the UCF Card Office by mail (costs $15). If you come to campus for class, you must get your ID from the Card Office, located in the John T. Washington Center.

Another option is to get a library ID number from the library (free of charge).

If you have a Library ID Number, but you have never used your ID to check out materials from the library, you may need to have your number activated. You can call the circulation desk or fill out the online form.

Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery

Students who are taking only off-campus courses are eligible for document delivery services from the Interlibrary Loan department. Articles and books can be mailed to you free of charge. It is your responsibility to return all books by the due date, at your own expense.

As a student of a State University, you are eligible to borrow materials from any of Florida's public university and community college libraries. You may also request items through any of the other State University libraries' Interlibrary Loan departments, but you must pick up the materials at that library. Contact your local academic library for their policies regarding this agreement.
