Audiovisual Materials:
- LSCC/UCF Joint-Use Library at South Lake: Videos can be requested at the Service Desk and must be viewed by students in the library. Full-time faculty may check out videos for two weeks, adjunct faculty
for one week.
- LSCC - Leesburg Campus Library: The Media department is located next to the library. Videos must be viewed in-house. Full-time faculty may check out videos for two weeks, adjunct faculty for
one week.
- UCF Library-Orlando campus: Media materials and equipment are located on the third floor.
Borrowing Materials:
- LSCC/UCF Joint-Use Library at South Lake and the LSCC - Leesburg Campus Library: To obtain a library card, take your UCF ID to the Service Desk for validation. Students may borrow up to 6 items on
any one subject at a time for a period of 3 weeks. Items may be renewed once for 3 additional weeks. Fines for overdue materials are $0.20 per day per item. For lost items, you will be billed for the cost of replacement plus a $30.00 processing fee.
Faculty are given semester borrowing on most items.
- UCF Library - Orlando Campus: You must have your UCF student ID. There is no limit on the number of books you can check out. Undergraduates may borrow items for 3 weeks; graduate students may
borrow items for 8 weeks. You may renew items if no hold has been placed on them. Fines for overdue materials are $0.25 per day. For lost or damages items, you will be billed replacement cost per item. You may renew and return items borrowed from
the UCF Library in Orlando at the LSCC/UCF Joint-Use Library in Clermont and the LSCC - Leesburg Campus Library. You may also renew materials borrowed from Orlando by calling the Service Desk in Clermont or Leesburg, or using the online form from the Library's home
page.

PC Applications :
- LSCC/UCF Joint-Use Library at South Lake: Public access to a variety of computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, as well as the Internet and e-mail are provided
in the library computer lab. Access to UCF databases is also available via three computers on the UCF network.
- LSCC - Leesburg Campus Library: The open computer lab is located in the Library.
Information Resources :
- Most library and information services provided on LSCC and UCF campuses are available
to faculty, students, and staff at the joint-use library in South Lake and in Leesburg.
- LINCC is the library catalog for
Florida community colleges. It identifies the books and journals available in LSCC libraries, and can be accessed on the Internet from the library's home page (http://library.ucf.edu/BranchCampuses/SouthLake/default.htm).

UCF's catalog can be searched online from the UCF Libraries home page (http://library.ucf.edu/).
Databases that index and provide access to journal articles are also provided. Some databases must be used in the library. Almost all databases are available from non-network or
remote sites.
Interlibrary Loan :
- You may borrow items from other libraries by filling out the
UCF Interlibrary Loan (ILL) form available on the Internet. You also need to fill out the ILL form to borrow items from the UCF Library in Orlando from an LSCC location. Be sure to indicate
where you want the material sent.

Library Instruction :
- LSCC/UCF Joint-Use Library at South Lake and the LSCC - Leesburg Campus Library: Librarians conduct general and subject-specific library instructions classes. Individual, one-on-one sessions can also be requested.
To arrange for library instruction, contact a reference librarian at 352-536-2148.
- UCF Library-Orlando campus: Online tutorials, the Internet Workshop Series, and Personalized Electronic Research Consultations are among the training programs provided. To arrange for library instruction sessions,
contact the coordinator of Bibliographic Instruction at 407-823-5880.
Printing/Copying :
- LSCC/UCF Joint-Use Library at South Lake and the LSCC - Leesburg Campus Library: Computer printouts cost 10 cents per page. Photocopies cost 10 cents per page. Faculty have access to copiers in the
Higher Education Facility in Clermont.
- UCF Library-Orlando campus: Photocopy machines are located on every floor of the library with change machines located on some floors. Photocopies are 10 cents per page. Students, Faculty and Staff may use their
UCFCard for easier and more economical copying (7.3 cents per page). Black and white printing (from PCs) cost 10 cents per page and a UCFCard or Visitor Smart Card must be used.

Access from Non-Network Sites :
- Most proprietary databases can be accessed from non-network sites using EZProxy
and require only an activated UCF ID card and library number. The UCF library number may be activated by: 1) checking out materials, 2) visiting the circulation desk at a UCF library, or 3) calling the Joint-Use Library at South Lake (352-536-2148), or 4)using
the activation request form. Additional information is available from the Ask-A-Librarian web page at

Reserve Materials :
- LSCC/UCF Joint-Use Library at South Lake and the LSCC - Leesburg Campus Library: Items on reserve can be requested at the Service Desk. Request an item by course name, number, or professor. Loan periods
vary and usually depend on the faculty member.
- UCF Library-Orlando campus: Most reserve materials circulate for two (2) hours. Fines for reserve items are billed at a rate of $0.25 per hour.
